Denmark
We are present at all Danish auctions every day with our own buyers. We supply all varieties and species involved in daily landings. Our Danish fish are cut, packed, and ready for transport on the same day they arrive in port. This ensures that our customers always receive the freshest products.
Iceland
Elite Seafood Iceland ehf offers Icelandic MSC-certified fish. In our own production facilities, the fish is sorted and weighed on our sorting systems. Therefore, we can offer our customers units with precise weight and size, creating value for them. Our Icelandic fish, such as cod and redfish, are caught in the cold, clear waters around Iceland, ensuring fantastic quality and taste.
Sweden
We offer freshwater fish from selected Swedish lakes through an exclusive supplier network of fishermen who are closely affiliated with Elite Seafood in a closed system. Elite Seafood has had the supplier network since the 1990s. The primary catches in the Swedish lakes include perch, pike, and perch. Our Swedish freshwater fish are known for their delicate taste and high quality, making them a popular choice among our customers.

We have longstanding partnerships with several suppliers of fish from Estonian lakes. We offer both whole fish and fillets from Estonia. Our Estonian suppliers have extensive expertise in fishing in the local lakes, ensuring high quality and freshness. We offer species such as perch, pike, and zander, all carefully selected and handled to meet our customers’ needs.

With the rich fishing tradition in Holland, it’s a natural market for us. We offer a wide variety of fish and seafood spanning many species from both marine and freshwater environments. All production takes place in facilities that are HACCP approved by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Our range includes, but is not limited to:
Cod
Cod is very common in Danish and Icelandic waters. The cod lives in schools down to about 600 meters deep and has a characteristic barbel on its chin that helps it find food on the seabed.
Haddock
The haddock is a bottom-dwelling fish that lives at depths ranging from 10 to 450 meters and prefers colder water temperatures of 4-10 degrees Celsius It hunts in schools and can be recognized by its gray-brown color with a dark lateral line and a large black spot above the pectoral fin.
Hake
Hakes are found in Danish waters up to the Øresund and the straits. It lives at depths between 50 and 500 meters and hunts at night. The hake is an elongated fish with a black mouth and gill cavity.
Coalfish
Coalfish live in schools in open waters or near the bottom down to depths of 250 meters. It is common in Danish and Icelandic waters and can be recognized by its nearly straight, white lateral line.
Monkfish
Haddock typically live at depths between 20 and 1,000 meters on the seabed, but can be found up to 1,800 meters during the spawning season. It is a flat, wide bottom-dwelling fish with a large head.
Halibut
Halibut is a cold-water fish that lives at depths between 50 and 2,000 meters or along the coast. It is a right-eyed flatfish with both eyes on the right side and a dark brown or greenish color.
Turbut
Halibut is an Arctic flatfish that lives in the northern part of the Atlantic Ocean. It is right-eyed fish with a left eye located on the side of its body.
Catfish
Catfish lives in marine areas at depths between 20 and 400 meters and prefers solid sea floors with stone reefs and rocks. It has a large head and long dorsal and anal fins.
Redfish
Redfish are found in European and Icelandic waters and include species such as the large redfish and the deepwater redfish. They are known for their red color and large eyes.
Plaice
Plaice live in shallow waters down to depths of 200 meters in Danish and Icelandic waters. It prefers sandy or soft bottoms where it can burrow.
Lemon sole
Lemon sole is a flatfish related to plaice and is characterized by its small mouth and reddish-brown, smooth skin. It lives on hard bottoms and gravel at depths between 10 and 150 meters.
Witch
The witch is a flatfish that lives on muddy seabeds at depths ranging from 45 to 1,500 meters. It has a reddish-brown upper side and a whitish, cloudy underside.
Turbot
The turbot lives on mixed bottoms from the coast down to 80 meters deep in Danish waters. It is a left-eyed flatfish with both eyes on the left side.
Brill
The brill is common in Danish waters and lives on sandy and mixed bottoms. It is found at depths between 5 and 100 meters and is a left-eyed flatfish with both eyes on the left side.
Languostine
Langoustine, also known as Norway lobster, is a shellfish species that lives at depths between 20 and 800 meters. It is primarily found in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean and the northern Skagerrak.
The European lobster
The European lobster, also known as the black lobster, lives in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean from the British Isles to Norway. It can be found at depths ranging from shallow waters to around 150 meters.
Mussels
Mussels are a popular shellfish species that live in both saltwater and freshwater. They are often found in large colonies attached to rocks or other hard surfaces.
Scallops
Scallops live in both cold and warm seawater. They are often found on sandy or gravel bottoms and are known for their sweet and delicate flavor as well as their firm yet tender meat
Catch of today
We vary our daily fish catch, so we also do not limit our selection if today’s catch includes something not typically in our assortment.
